The next step in performing your Ideagen Quality Management upgrade is to update the web interface. This is an optional feature that allows you to use Ideagen Quality Management via a web browser instead of having a client installed on a local PC. In some organisations this will be the main way in which you use Ideagen Quality Management but in others this will be an extra feature.

Important Note: Before proceeding to update the Web Interface please ensure you have a working Ideagen Quality Management client by following the steps outlined in How to Upgrade the Ideagen Quality Management Clients.

1. How to Upgrade the Ideagen Quality Management Identity Server

To upgrade the identity server:

1. Browse the installation files and open the Identity Server folder.
2. Run the file 'Setup.exe'.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.

4. If prompted for a reboot, click OK. 

Note: A reboot of the server is only required if the Identity Server is running.

5. Click Finish.

2. How to Upgrade the Print Server

To upgrade the print server:

1. Browse the installation files and open the Identity Server folder.
2. Run the file 'Setup.exe'.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.

4. Click Finish.

3. How to Upgrade the Ideagen Quality Management API

To upgrade the API web services:

1. Browse the installation files and open the API Web Services folder.
2. Run the file 'Setup.exe'.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.

4. Click Finish.

4. How to Upgrade the Ideagen Quality Management Web Interface

To upgrade the web interface:

1. Browse the installation files and open the Web Client folder.
2. Run the file 'Setup.exe'.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.

4. Click Finish.

5. How to Restart Services

Before testing the web interface:

1. Open the Windows Services.
2. Restart the Ideagen Quality Management Server Service.
3. Open Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
4. Click on the website hosting Ideagen Quality Management.
5. Select Restart on the Manage Website panel on the right hand side.

6. How to Test the Ideagen Quality Management Web Interface

To test the Ideagen Quality Management Web Interface:

1. Open a web browser.
2. Go to http://<servername>/qpulse

OR

1. Open Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
2. Click on the website hosting Ideagen Quality Management.
3. Click on the QPulse virtual directory.
4. Click on Browse *80 (http) on the Manage Application pane on the right hand side.
