How to Upgrade the Ideagen Quality Management Clients

The third step in performing your Ideagen Quality Management upgrade is to update the clients.
There are a few ways this can be done, however this article includes steps on how to test the system is working and also how to deploy the new version using ClickOnce.

1. How to Upgrade the Test Client on the Server
A test client is a standard Ideagen Quality Management client installed on the application server that you can log in to in order to test that Ideagen Quality Management in functioning or to perform admin tasks.
To upgrade this client:
- Browse to the Client folder in the installation media.
- Run the file 'Setup.exe'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.
- Launch the Ideagen Quality Management client to confirm you can log in to the system.
Did you receive an error when trying to log in? If services have not been started or you've missed an upgrade on either the server or database then this could prevent you from logging in. Try confirming that the Ideagen Quality Management Server service is running and that you've completed the upgrade on the application server and database.
2. How to Perform a Ideagen Quality Management Client Update Using ClickOnce
Once Ideagen Quality Management is working you are ready to deploy the client. The easiest method is using ClickOnce.
