Configuring automatic Document Review periods

Administration module access is required.
To ensure documents remain current and compliant, you can configure Ideagen Quality Management Professional to automatically calculate the next review date based on the document's type. This removes the need for users to manually calculate and enter review dates every time they create or update a document.
This article explains how to set a default review frequency for specific Document Types.
1. Configuring the review period
To set up automatic periodic review dates:
- Open the Administration module.
- Navigate to the Customisation section and select Managed Lists.
- Find and open Document Type from the list.
- Double-click the specific document type you want to configure (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures).
- Locate the Review Period setting in the properties window.
- Tick the box to enable automatic reviews for this document type.
- Enter the frequency (e.g., 3) and select the time unit (e.g., Years) from the drop-down list.
- Click OK to save your changes.
Future documents created under this type will now default to this review schedule automatically.
