Ideagen Quality Management 7.7 is a product update that includes several feature enhancements and fixes, primarily focusing on bringing feature parity to the Web experience.

1. Features

Web module parity

Modules

People module is now in Web with its essential key features, allowing for easy management of users and their competencies.

Training module is now in Web with its essential key features, allowing for easy creation, assignment, and management of training events.

Matrices

To support better visibility into organisational training status, matrices are now available in Web, making them more accessible and easier to use across platforms.

Training matrices

• Competency Matrix – View users' current competency statuses across defined skills.
• Requirements Matrix – Monitor completion of mandatory training requirements.
• Compare Against Job Roles – Evaluate user competencies and training completion relative to their assigned roles.
• Compare Against Master Competencies – Compare user competencies to your organisation’s defined competency framework.

People matrices

• Compare Me Against Job Role – See how your competencies align with your current role.
• Compare Me Against Master Competency – Understand how your skills match the organisation’s  full competency model.

These matrices allow you to view competency levels, training completion, and gaps across groups or  individuals. They also help quickly identify users with outdated training plans or renewable events that require attention.

Approval and Copyholder templates

To enhance the user experience within the Documents module, we have introduced features that allow for the management of Approval and Copyholder templates within the Web interface.

Improved database connection management

To prevent issues with the database disappearing from the available connections list and needing to perform a service restart, we have implemented the following changes to the QPulse Server:

• Enhanced logging.
• Database status management.
• Connection timeout adjustment.
• Health check modifications.

Web services endpoints improvements

Performance improvements have been made to the web service to better handle high request loads on the following endpoints:

• CreateNewOccurrence
• GetOccurrence
• GetIncident
• GetChangedForms
• GetFormDataByFormIDs

The SQL query has been enhanced by adding the NOLOCK hint during table reads, minimising the risk of database locking and improving query performance. This improvement has also been applied to the GetOccurrence endpoint's stored procedure, further enhancing performance by reducing table lock occurrences.

Audit module improvements

Scheduled range filter in register list view

To improve load times, we implemented scheduled range filters.

CA/PA module improvements

Tree list component

The dropdown tree list component has been replaced with a popup modal tree list, resulting in faster load times and reduced memory usage.

This applies to the following fields in CA/PA module:

• Area of Standard
• Department
• Fault Category
• CA/PA Source Type
• Product Service
• Supplier
• Work Order Number

This feature is off by default and can be turned on by making changes to the web.config file.

Workflow component

The workflow component in the CA/PA module has been updated to align with the design of the Incident module workflow. It now uses the same component as the Incident workflow, replacing the custom CA/PA workflow component, which was known to be more memory intensive.

Properties component

The Properties component in CA/PA module has been enhanced to improve on the load time and reduce memory usage.

Specific areas improved in the Properties tab are:

• Attachments
• Batches
• E-signature

Lazy loading implementation

Deferred loading has been implemented in the grid lists to improve the load time and reduce memory usage.
