Drilling down on Dashboard data
Who is this article for?Users looking to build a new data Dashboard.
Dashboard Create permissions are required.
Dashboards provide a drill down which allows you to change the detail level of data displayed in an item. This feature supports drilling down to display detailed information or drilling up to view more general information, depending on your needs.
This article shows you how to drill down on data in your Dashboard.
1. Adding arguments
Drill down requires that the data section contains several arguments which can be configured in the Arguments section of the Binding menu.
These should be sorted from the least detailed to the most detailed item.
In the below example, the Full Name of a user will drill down into the Document Types they own, which can then be drilled down into the Document Titles.
