How to Edit or Deactivate Finding Types
Who is this article for?Audit Managers responsible for managing the Audit module.
Audit Manager group membership is needed.
Finding types can be created to categorise the findings raised on an audit.
Over time you may need to change the details of the audit type or even deactivate the type altogether.
This article provide details on how to make changes to a finding type but it does not go into detail on how to perform an Audit or raise findings. For information on raising findings on an audit please see How to Raise an Audit Finding.
This article is split into three sections:
1. Change Finding Type Details
To change finding type details:
- Log in to Ideagen Home and launch Ideagen Quality Management Essentials to access the Audit module.
- Expand Audits and select Finding types.
- Open your finding type.
- Apply any changes.
- Click Save.
Reminder: Inactive finding types will be hidden from the list. Click the Show inactive box to see audit types that have not been activated.
2. Deactivate a Finding Type
To deactivate a finding type:
- Log in to Ideagen Home and launch Ideagen Quality Management Essentials to access the Audit module.
- Expand Audits and select Finding types.
- Open your finding type.
- Uncheck the Active box.
- Click Save.
Reminder: Inactive finding types will be hidden from the list. Click the Show inactive box to see audit types that have not been activated.
