How to Edit or Deactivate Audit Types

Audit Manager group membership is needed.
Audit types can be configured with a variety of settings which will be applied to audits that have been scheduled. In some cases, these specify levels of access and in others they control record properties such as numbering sequences, etc.
Over time you may need to change the details of the audit type or even deactivate the type altogether.
This article provide details on how to make changes to an audit type and how to remove it from availability however it does not include details on how to create new audit types. For information on how to setup a new audit type please visit How to Create Audit Types.
This article is split into three sections:
1. Make Changes to an Audit Type
To change audit type details:
- Log in to Ideagen Home and launch Ideagen Quality Management Essentials to access the Audit module.
- Expand Audits and select Audit types.
- Open your audit type.
- Apply any changes.
- Click Save.

2. Deactivate an Audit Type
To deactivate an audit type:
- Log in to Ideagen Home and launch Ideagen Quality Management Essentials to access the Audit module.
- Expand Audits and select Audit types.
- Open your audit type.
- Uncheck the Active box.
- Click Save.
Reminder: Inactive audit types will be hidden from the list. Click the Show inactive box to see audit types that have not been activated.
