CA/PA Analysis Module - The CA/PA Analysis Screen
To access the CA/PA Analysis screen from the LaunchPad, click the [Analysis] tab, then click on the CA/PA Analysis module.
The Analysis Range Tile
You can enter the range of the data set to be analysed, or load an Analysis Folder.
The range can be based on either the Raised Date or Closed Date of Non-Conformances.
The Analysis Scope Tile
You can analyse by:
-
Review – whereprofiling CA/PA content is the focus of this type of analysis, one or two 'Analyse by' dimensions may be selected
-
Reaction Time – where performance of CA/PA (Stage and overall) closure is the focus. Only one 'Analyse by' dimension may be selected, the other dimension is generated by the system depending on the metric chosen:
- ‘Overall – Actual vs Target’
- ‘Stage – Actual vs. Target’
- ‘Overall Duration’
The My Analysis Folders Tile
The pane displays a list of saved analysis folders. Double-clicking on an Analysis folder will load the saved analysis
This includes filters, view, analysis table definitions, graph options and overlays saved with that search folder. The same window will be re-used, discarding the current analysis session.
The Show By Setting (summary value)
This determines the summary value displayed in the grid. It may be based on:
-
Occurrences – The number of Non-Conformances
-
Total Cost – Based on the values entered in CA/PA Properties Total Cost field
-
Total Time – Based on the values entered in CA/PA Properties Total Time field
-
Time fields 1-5 – Based on the values entered in CA/PA Properties Custom Time fields. Field names will reflect any label customisation in this area
-
Cost 1-5 – Based on the values entered in CA/PA Properties Custom Cost fields. Field names will reflect any label customisation in this area
The Analysis Grid
The basic function of the analysis grid is to show the data breakdown of your analysis. It will display either one or two 'Analyse By' dimensions, i.e. columns and/or rows. If the selected analysis is based on reaction time, then the dimensions will be fixed by the system.
Drilling or Trending can be performed on a Row, Column or Cell value.
The values displayed in the Analysis grid will be reflected in the Analysis Graph.
You can display the Analysis Grid as full-screen by:
-
Selecting 'Full-screen grid' from the View menu on the Analysis screen
-
Right-clicking over the grid and selecting 'Full-screen grid'
The Analysis Graph
The basic function of the analysis graph is to provide a visual representation of the data shown in the Analysis Grid. A wide variety of options are available to configure the graph to your requirements; in addition, to add value to the analysis both Pareto and Trend lines may be applied.
Drilling can be performed on a graph element, such as a bar and a graph can also be saved as an image.
You can display the Analysis Graph as full-screen by:
-
Selecting 'Full-screen graph' from the View menu on the Analysis screen
-
Right-clicking over the graph and selecting 'Full-screen graph'
Why can't I Access Analysis?
The ability to access the Analysis Module is controlled by security privileges as follows:
To access the Analysis Module, you must either have, or belong to a Security group that has the securable command:
-
AccessAnalysisModule.
If you can’t access the Analysis Module, you may not have the required security privileges to do so. Security privileges are assigned in the Administration Console; for more information, contact your Ideagen Quality Management Administrator.
