Installing the Document Retrieval Service (DRS)

The Document Retrieval Service (DRS) is a free optional add-on that can be installed on your Ideagen Quality Management application server in order to gain immediate access to your document attachments.
This article focuses on how to install and configure the tool.
1. Requirements
DRS is version specific, meaning you will need to ensure the version of the tool installed matches the version of Ideagen Quality Management installed.
In order to install the DRS, you will require:
- Ideagen Quality Management Server version 5.70 or (higher)
- Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7.0 (or later)
Note: To download the version of DRS compatible with your version of Ideagen Quality Management, please refer to the following:
- Self-hosted: DRS is available in your installation files. Please contact your IT team who will be able to perform the installation.
- Hosted by Ideagen: Please contact Ideagen support to obtain the correct version of DRS.
2. Installing DRS
To install the tool:
- Run the setup.exe file.
- Select the path to install the tool.
By default, this will be: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\qpulsedocumentservice.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to specify the location of your Ideagen Quality Management server.
Once the installation has been completed you can access the DRS via http://<servername>/qpulsedocumentservice.
