Managing administrator workload
Who is this article for?Administrators managing user workload.
Administration module access is needed.
Every user in Ideagen Quality Management has a workload made up of all of the actions they need to perform. If a user is archived then Ideagen Quality Management will show how many actions they were responsible for in the form of the administrator workload.
The purpose of the administrator workload is to highlight to administrative users that they have workload to manage.
Administrator workload will only be displayed when archived users have actions to complete. In order to prevent this situation it is recommended that actions are re-assigned when archiving a user.
Please see archiving a user for more details.
1. Overview
If a Ideagen Quality Management user is archived and they have outstanding actions (e.g. they are the owner of a CA/PA record) then the metric displayed on the Administration module on the LaunchPad will be incremented.
This widget displays the number of users with actions, not the number of actions.
The purpose of the administrator workload is to ensure that all actions and activities in Ideagen Quality Management are assigned to users who will be able to perform them.
If a user is archived they will therefore be unable to complete their actions and so it is the responsibility of the Administrator to ensure that the actions are re-assigned to active users.
If the user does not have access to the Administration module then they will see the notification of "Access/read permission is denied to one or more modules for which you have actions."
2. Calculating administrator workload
administrator workload is calculated by a service that runs on the Ideagen Quality Management server and must be configured by your IT team.
'QPulseArchivalWorkload.exe' is run with the parameter of the database name. For steps on how to configure the service please see configuring archived user workload calculation.
