How to Configure 4-Week Calendar Periods in Ideagen Quality Management
Who is this article for?Ideagen Quality Management Administrators configuring 4-week calendars.
Administration module access is needed.
Ideagen Quality Management typically uses calendar date formats for scheduling and searching. However, the calendars can also be configured for 13 annual periods of 4-weeks. This gives you the benefit of searching and reporting within 4-week periods.
This is particularly useful for organisations (such as rail companies) that operate on a 4-week period system.
The Ideagen Quality Management administrator can configure on which date the calendar begins and the number of days contained within each period will be displayed.
The configuration of the Calendar Settings must be performed by a Ideagen Quality Management Administrator.
This article outlines:
1. How to Configure the Calendar Settings
To configure your calendar:
- Access the Administration module and select “Calendar Settings”.
- Select Add Year.
- Populate the Title field and enter the Year Start Date.
- Enter the First Period Ends on field, ensuring that the value entered is 28 days after the Year Start Date.
- Click OK.
2. How to Search 4-Week Periods
Once a calendar has been created, users will be able to perform a search based on the periods that were configured.
Additional updates have been made within the search options for each module in Ideagen Quality Management (for example, the Raised Date field in CA/PA records or the Copy Holder Acknowledge Date in the Document module) to include an "In Period" criteria. This is in order to allow for easy searching of activities performed within the specified period, and also in the Analysis module for operational trends by period.
