Report Designer Example: Adding Training Events to a Person Report
This example will detail the steps to return only All Events for People in the Technical Departments.
Creating your report can be performed in stages:
Building your Person List View Report
- As we are searching for 'Person Records' we need to ensure the 'People' Register is selected.
- Next we select Advanced, and enter our search query as shown below.
- This returns any People who's department is Technical, or within the Technical group
- Now that we have used Ideagen Quality Management to collate our required data, we can use Report Designer to add our Training Events and filer out any redundant data, e.g. Non-renewable Events
- Click [File] > [Report Designer]
- Choose the 'Current View' Report
- In Report Designer right click the Detail Band, select Insert Detail Report > "(All Events)"
- The report will now include All Events for each Person Record
- The 'red' boxes indicate overlapping fields, you may wish to adjust or remove unwanted fields to make your report more readable
?Any additional fields needed should be added under the Detail1 band
