How to Associate a Document With a CA/PA
Who is this article for?Ideagen Quality Management Users submitting or investigating a CA/PA record.
The CA/PA Edit permission is required.
The CA/PA module offers an easy way to submit reports, incidents and non-conformances into Ideagen Quality Management for investigation. During your investigation of the CA/PA you may identify a document as part of the situation and so will need to associate the CA/PA with the document record.
Example: The CA/PA could be a non-conformance raised by a process or SOP not being followed correctly, or perhaps the document is out of date with the area of standard it relates to.
This article is split into 3 sections:
1. Add a Document to a CA/PA
To add a document:
- Open to your CA/PA record.
- Go to the main details section of the CA/PA record.
- Click on the ellipsis button next to Document.
- Search for the document you need to associate with the CA/PA record.
- Highlight the document and click OK.
Reminder: This can only be done on records with a status of open or pending.
2. Locate Non-Conformances Associated with a Document
It may be necessary to view the Non-Conformances associated with a document (for example, if compliance is being audited).
To do this:
- Open the Document module and open the Document record.
- Click on View, then Related Non-Conformances...
- The associated CA/PA records will be displayed.
