Including meeting invites on emails (via iCalendar attachment)

Administrators configuring Ideagen Quality Management.
Administration module access is needed.
Some Ideagen Quality Management actions come in the form of events, such as audits and training courses. When these events are scheduled you can have them added to your Outlook calendar as a meeting event.
This is configured in the administration module and once configured the emails sent by Ideagen Quality Management will include an .ics attachment that can be added to your calendar.
Note: As of July 2022 Microsoft Teams does not support the iCalendar file. This file needs to be imported into Outlook and then it will automatically sync into your Teams calendar.
1. What emails can include iCalendars?
The iCalendar feature can be activated for the following Ideagen Quality Management messages:

2. Activating the iCalendar
To enable iCalendar attachments:
- Open the Administration module, select Customisation, then Messaging.
- Edit one of the emails that supports the iCalendar attachment.
- Tick the include iCalendar attachment checkbox, and then click OK.
Note: Once enabled, the events will automatically be added to users’ calendars as a meeting event after they open or interact with the .ics file attachment included in the email.
