Scheduling an Audit
Who is this article for?Auditors scheduling audits.
Audit create access is required.
Once you have decided what you are auditing and viewed previous similar audits, you can schedule the audit itself.
1. Create a New Audit
To create a new audit:
- Click the New Audit button.
- Enter the mandatory information:

- Title: A meaningful title for the audit.
- Calendar: The calendar that the audit belongs to.
- Scheduled Start Date: The planned starting date of the audit.
- If this schedule has been confirmed, check Schedule Confirmed.
- Click OK.
Once the audit has been created you can add additional information, including:
- Audit Scope Items
- Auditors and Auditees
- Checklists and Questions
- Properties
2. Set Recurrence
A recurring audit is an audit that will occur on a regular period of time.
For Example: You may schedule a monthly health and safety walk through so that issues can be proactively identified and resolved before an external audit takes place. Rather than schedule this audit 12 times a year you can schedule it once with a recurrence of every month.
To make an audit recurring:
- Open the scheduled audit.
- Click the Recurrence button.
- Enter the recurrence information.
- Click OK.
- Enter the recurrent pattern information:
- Click OK.
- Enter the duration and click OK, then Save.

To schedule an audit using the scheduling wizard:
- Open the Audit module.
- Click [File], then [New] and then [From Wizard].
- Click [Next].
- Select a Calendar and a Title then click [Next].
- Select the scheduling option you would prefer:

User creates a single audit and can select the month in which the audit is to run. The audit scheduled start and end date will be automatically set to the last day of the month, but this can then be amended within the record.

| Series of Audits | User is able to configure audits so that they run on a set pattern (daily, weekly, monthly or yearly) when the pattern of audits will begin and end, and how long each audit should take to perform. |
- Click [Next].
- Click [Add Scope] and select the audit scope that you wish to relate this audit to.
- Press [Next].
- Select the Auditors and auditees required for the audit.
Note: If only one auditor is chosen, this person will automatically be assigned as the lead auditor. If multiple users are selected, you can elect a lead auditor by highlighting the user and selecting the “Set as Lead Auditor” icon.
- Click [Next].
- Select a checklist to include in your audit.
- Click [Next].
- On the final screen of the Wizard, check the boxes to select to open the audit record or confirm the schedule, and select [Finish] to complete the wizard.
- Open the Audit module.
- Click [File], then [New] and then [From Wizard].
- Click [Next].
- Select a Calendar and a Title then click [Next].
- Select the scheduling option you would prefer:
