Logging into the tool
Who is this article for?
Users needing to access the Audit Log Viewer.
AccessAuditLogViewer permissions are required.
The Audit Log Viewer login in screen appears when you access the system.
This article walks you through the process of signing in depending on your authentication type.
1. Signing in
1.1. Native authentication
If Windows authentication has not been enabled, you will need to provide login credentials.
To log on to the tool:
- Select your database from the Database drop-down list (if more than one database is available).
- Enter your Username.
- Enter your Password.
- Click Log On.
Note
The authentication method is configurable for each database.
1.2. Windows authentication
If Windows authentication has been enabled, you will not be prompted for login information unless you have access to more than one database.
To log on with multiple databases:
- Select your database from the Database Selection drop-down list.
- Select the Ideagen Supply Chain via Ideagen Quality Management Professional checkbox (if required).
- Enter your Username (if the checkbox was selected).
- Enter your Password (if the checkbox was selected).
- Click Log On.
Note
If Windows authentication has not been correctly configured, the Audit Log Viewer may ask you to log in using your Ideagen Quality Management username and password when logging in for the first time. Further logons will then work as specified.
You may be logged out of Audit Log Viewer if your Administrator has enabled the session timeout feature. You can log back in using the same steps again.
