This article explains how to resolve the server error.

1. Issue

When trying to view a page, you may encounter the "HTTP Error 401.2 - Unauthorized error".

This is due to invalid authentication headers caused by a misconfigured Applicationhost.config file.

2. Resolution

To resolve this issue:

1. Go to the Authorization Rules section at the server level.

2. Select Add Allow Rule.
3. Set to All users.

4. Click OK.

You should now be able to reach the dataportal without the error or Windows authentication prompt.
