Troubleshooting unable to close the occurrence as a standard event
Who is this article for?
Users who are having trouble closing an occurrence as a standard event.
System Admin permissions are needed.
This article explains why the option to close an occurrence as a standard event might not be visible in Ideagen Quality Management Professional (IQMP) and how to fix it by checking user permissions and creating standard events if necessary.
1. Issue
Occurrences can be accepted, rejected, or closed as standard events.
Sometimes, when a user tries to close an occurrence, the option to close the occurrence as a standard event may not be available, as shown in the screenshot below.
2. Resolution
- Check if the user has the Occurrence close permission.
- If the permission is granted but the user still cannot see the Close occurrence as a standard event option, it likely means no standard events have been set up in the application.
- You can create a standard event by following these steps:
- Go to Incidents → Edit → Standard events → File → New to create a new standard event.
- Fill in the fields in the dialog box as shown below. You can also add classifications and risk matrices if needed.
- After creating the standard event, the option to close the occurrence as a standard event will appear when you try to close an occurrence.
