Users who are having issues with the date format displayed in the system.

No special access or permissions are required.

Users may see dates displayed in the wrong format, such as the US format (MM/DD/YYYY) instead of the expected UK format (DD/MM/YYYY). This can cause confusion and lead to mistakes when entering or reviewing information.

1. Check internal system settings (Windows)

1. Open settings.
   • Press Windows + I, or right‑click the date and time on the taskbar and select Adjust date and time.
2. Go to language and region.
   • Navigate to Time & language → Language & region.
3. Adjust the regional format.
   • Select Change formats under the regional format section.
   • Update the following options as needed:
     • Short date
     • Long date
     • Short time
     • Long time

Ensure the short date is set to DD/MM/YYYY for UK users.

2. Check browser settings

If the date format is still incorrect, the issue may be caused by browser language settings.

2.1. Microsoft Edge

1. Click the three‑dot menu in the top‑right corner.
2. Go to Settings → Languages.
3. Select Add languages and choose English (United Kingdom).
4. Click the three dots next to the added language and select Display Microsoft Edge in this language.
5. Restart the browser.

2.2. Google Chrome

1. Open Chrome and click the three‑dot menu in the top‑right corner.
2. Go to Settings → Advanced → Languages.
3. Select Add languages and choose from the following:
   • English (United Kingdom) → DD/MM/YYYY
   • English (United States) → MM/DD/YYYY
   • English (Canada) or English (Sweden) → YYYY‑MM‑DD (ISO format)
4. Click the three dots next to your preferred language and select Display Google Chrome in this language.
5. Restart Chrome.
