Recording completed Training
Who is this article for?Users responsible for managing Training.
Person Event Add and Person Competency Edit permissions are required.
After a user completes any scheduled Training event or competency, you should update their People record in the system.
This article shows you where you can record completed Training.
1. Recording completed events
Events scheduled through the Training Courses module will be automatically recorded as completed when their record is closed.
To record an unscheduled event:
- Access the People module.
- Select People.
- Open a user record.
- Switch to the Event History tab.
- Click Edit (Pencil icon).
- Click Add Completed Event.
- Fill out all mandatory information.
- Click OK.
Are you being asked to provide a signature?
Depending on the record, you may be asked for an electronic signature. To complete the process, enter your system credentials and click Sign.
2. Recording completed competencies
To record a competency:
- Access the People module.
- Select People.
- Open a user record.
- Switch to the Training Plan tab.
- Click Edit (Pencil icon).
- Click Edit Competency.
- Set a new Competency Status.
- Click OK.
Are you being asked to provide a signature?
Depending on the record, you may be asked for an electronic signature. To complete the process, enter your system credentials and click Sign.

- Click Open Competency.
- Set a new Competency Status.
