Navigating the People module
Who is this article for?Users accessing the People module.
People module access is required.
When you first access the People module, you can choose between accessing the People or Events list. From there, you can search, filter, and interact with any record you have the permission to view.
Opening a record will take you to the People Details or Event Details view where you can see additional information about the record.
This article shows you how to effectively work with each of the views.
1. List view
This default view displays a paginated list of all People or Event records on your system. In our examples, we will look at the People list, but the same steps apply to both.
You can use the bar above the list to filter the list and the bar below the list to navigate between the pages.
1.1. Search
To search for a record:
- Select the search bar.
- Enter keywords.
- Click Search.
The list will refresh, displaying only Course records that match your search parameters.
1.2. Filters
There are filters you can apply to the list to help you view the records you're after.
Column filters allow you to display results that meet specific criteria.
Filter builder allows you to create more complex filters using additional operators. This is particularly useful if you need to filter a single field for multiple values. For example, filtering the record type to display all Employees and Customers.
2. People Details view
To open the People Details view, click the Person record in the list view in either list. From here, you can view all information specific to them.
Each tab contains unique information about the record.

| Person | Displays details such as the Job Title, Email, Department, etc. |
| Event History | Displays list of previously completed Training. |
| Reviews | Displays list of reviews scheduled against the Person. |
| Training Plan | Displays detailed overview of competencies. |
| Properties | Displays additional details, such as Attachments, Notes, Links, etc. |
1. List view
This view displays a list of all People on your system.
You can use the left pane and the bar above the list to filter the list or view People actions.
1.1. Search
To search for a specific Person:
- Choose a Type from the dropdown.
- Choose a Department from the dropdown.
- Enter a Job Role.
- Select an Event Title.
You can tick the Not box to search for events other than the one entered. - Choose date Event Completed.
- Select a Competency Title.
You can tick the Not box to search for competencies other than the one entered. - Enter Keywords.
- Click Search.
You don't have to fill out all fields to return results.
The list will refresh, displaying only People records that match your search parameters.
2. People Details view
To open the People Details view, double-click the Person record in the list view. From here, you can view all information specific to them.
Each section contains unique information about the record.
