Completing Incident stages and actions
Who is this article for?Users working on Incident records.
Incident Stage Edit permissions are required.
Once a Incident record has been worked on, you will be able to mark actions and stages you're the owner of as Completed or Closed.
This article walks you through how to do that.
1. Completing an action
Before a stage can be completed, all actions need to be completed first.
To complete an action:
- Go to the CA/PA list.
- Open a CA/PA record.
- Switch to the Workflow tab.
- Click the Tick icon next to the action.
This will open a Complete Action pane.
- Enter an Action Response.
- Set the Closed Date.
- Click OK.
2. Completing a stage
Once all actions have been completed, you can also complete the stage.
To complete a stage:
- Go to the Incident list.
- Open an Incident record.
- Switch to the Workflow tab.
- Click the Complete Stage button.
This will open a Complete Stage pane.
- Confirm all information is correct.
- Click OK.

- Right-click an action.
- Choose Complete Action.
This will open the Action Details window.
- Enter an Action Response.
- Set the Closed Date.
- Click OK.

Once all actions have been completed, you can also complete the stage.
To complete a stage:
- Go to the Incident list.
- Right-click a stage.
- Choose Complete Stage.
Being prompted to sign the record?
If you have enabled Electronic Signatures for completing an action or stage, you will be prompted to electronically sign the record in order to confirm the closure.
