Bulk editing users

Administrators responsible for user management.
Ideagen Quality Management 7.3 (or higher) and Administration permissions are required.
Ideagen Quality Management allows users to be edited in bulk. This can be useful in situations such as a change or organisation name or domain, or updating the User Principal Name (UPN) when enabling Single Sign-On (SSO) for the first time.
1. Bulk editing users
When updating the UserData.xls file, please note that only the User Principal Name, Email, and Archived fields can be edited in bulk. Changes made to any other fields in the spreadsheet will not be applied during the import process.
To bulk edit users:
- Open the Administration module.
- Go to Security.
- Select People.
- Click Bulk Edit.
- Enter the export path.
- Click Export.
- Click OK.
- Browse to the export folder.
- Open UserData.xls.
- Update the Excel file as needed.
- Enter the Import path as the path to the updated file.
- Click Save Changes.
2. Reviewing errors
Updates that fail will be highlighted in red and an error reason will be displayed.
Changes must be made in the UserData.xls file and the update attempted again.
